Welcome!

Welcome to my site and it’s information.  This site will be dedicated to linking resources for Instructional Design and related content.  Below, please find three sites I have come to enjoy for their content, information and ease of use.  As a teacher and learner, I like ease, flexibility and overall content when looking for sites to keep in my pages.  The following meet those criteria in general and will most definitely be in my daily wheelhouse.

First, is the amazingly easy to follow blog: The Rapid e-learning blog!  I stumbled upon this gem of a resource in the mass of information on e-learning and online class development.  Hosted by Tom Kuhlmann, it provides the reader with easily navigated content, ideas and upcoming e-learning events.  Subscribers are able to post both quickly and effectively.  Upon engaging in the content, this site is geared to really help new designers with creating effective learning for their courses.

Next up is a resource geared towards all things Instructional Design.  Instructional Design Central is a warehouse of information, graphics and resources all linked to design and learning.  A professional community, this site is amazing!  In it, viewers are able to navigate jobs and careers, templates for creating e-learning, ongoing education sites and a blog geared towards everything industry related. Using this site will enhance any new or seasoned designer’s experience by guiding them through the industry’s informational sources.

Lastly, I choose a blog of a seasoned Instructional Designer, Tracy Parish.  Her blog, Discovery Through eLearning- Blog is a journey into her own learning, education and teaching.  She critiques her work and allows exposure into her mistakes, successes and reflections as a designer.  Reading her informative posts one can genuinely see the journey this designer takes when developing her learning platforms. Ultimately, this blog will enhance the journey of this newbie as I develop my own career in Instructional Design.
